Day 12

Ok, so I know you're only supposed to weigh yourself once a week since your weight can fluctuate so much during the week... but I just couldn't help myself this morning! I'm really starting to notice it in my belly, and I just KNEW I had lost more weight since Sunday... so, I stepped on the scale before getting into the shower.. AND I've lost 3 more lbs! I am down to 210.6!! I'm almost to my second sticker Steph!! Haha.. I'm a nerd, I know ;-)

Alright, just had to share that real quick! Guess I better get to work...

1 Week DOWN!

Alright, so last night was the official end of "Week 1" - and a mighty nice ending it was!

After weigh-ins and measurements, I have lost 5.4 pounds and an inch around my waist! YAY! Now, I know that might seem like a lot, but I have a feeling my start weight was 'padded' by some PMS bloat the previous week ;-) Honest, starting a diet the week you're on your period may sound like hell, but it does wonders for your self-esteem at that Week 1 Weigh-In! But I can tell that I've lost a little bit of my belly and that's one of my number 1 gripes post-pregnancy. I ALWAYS had a nice waist - my obsession with crunches may have something to do with that.. but having a jiggly belly now really irks me. Needless to say I did 75 crunches yesterday, and I'm going to do my best to continue that everyday.

Now, onto the NSV's (Non-Scale Victories - as some wise woman once told me) I believe my BIGGEST NSV comes in the form of a 31 Party that I had on Saturday. My hostess had 6 Layer Taco Dip (YUM), French Onion Dip, Blue Crab Spread (YUM), Pepperoni (HEAVEN), Cheese, Chips and Crackers, and Mimosa's. I had NOTHING except a Mimosa - which I only had because it was made with my favorite Champagne - Verdi! Otherwise I sipped on a glass of ice water while everyone else piled their plates high with everything. Oh, and I almost forgot - she also had Mini Chicken Tacos!! But, I controlled myself and didn't even have one of those!

Now, after such a fabulous day, I came home and had some chicken, greenbeans and mashed potatos for dinner.

Yesterday, Sunday, I splurged a little. Because I had saved up some points from the week, when the Lebo's came over and brought lunch, I had a Cheddar Broccoli Soup and Bread Bowl from Panera. That is my weakness.. I LOVE Panera's soup and bread bowl!! But, I had only had a 4 point breakfast - Egg Beater's Omelet with spinach and Weight Watchers Shredded Cheese. And I had some wonderful Pad Thai for dinner that hubby loaded with veggies and chicken :)

I know I've said this before, but I really feel like I am eating all of the time! And I guess in actuality, I am eating every 3 or so hours. But I am finally hitting the 1200 calorie mark - I'm not sure how people hit the 2000 mark everyday - well, I know how they can do it with crappy food, but healthy foods - no way!

Ok, next venture - I got an AMAZING mixer from the in-laws for Christmas, and now I need to find something healthy to make with it! It's a Kitchenaid - which quite honestly, I never dreamed I'd actually own anytime soon, and it's the professional 600 series.. it's HUGE! And so pretty! hahaha.. yes, I really am talking about a mixer being pretty :)

Day 4


Ok, I can do this.. now that I've determined how to fulfill my daily point allowance without eating crap, it's pretty damn easy! I feel like I'm eating all the time now! Literally, I eat about every 3-4 hours or so.. breakfast between 8 and 8:30 (cottage cheese and fruit!), lunch at 11:30, a snack around 3 and then dinner by 6 with another snack or two at 8. Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches are my lifesaver - I LOVE the chocolate ones!!! I grew up with 8pm being "Snack Time" in our family - that's when we were allowed to have some ice cream or cookies, so it's pretty well embossed in my brain that nighttime is snack time and it must be sweet.

Lately, I feel that my stomach is less bloated than it was before, and can't wait until Sunday night's measurements. I just wish I could work out - I've been so tired this week and had class last night, that I come home and just want to veg. Thinking about everything I need to do at work in the next week before the end of the Quarter doesn't help either. Blah.
Oh well. Guess I better get back downstairs for now..

Day 1

Ok, so I'm a day in... and I am super excited! Looking back at pictures of when Tony and I got together (they're totally the cover of my binder that I've made to help keep track of everything), I can't wait to look even close to that again. Not to mention the thoughts of A) being able to run around with my daughter and B) being a cute preggo next time.

Last night was our first official weigh-in/measurement time, and let me tell you IT SUCKED! The visual of the numbers I wrote down was enough to make me want to crawl up and die. I can't believe I've gone this far... why didn't one (or all) of you smack me??? ;-)

Well, my starting weight is 219lbs. **shudders**

I am hoping to get back down to the 160(ish) area, so I've got a long road ahead of me. But, my first goal is getting that first number to go back to a 1 where it belongs and will stay FOREVER. My waist was officially TWELVE INCHES larger than it was when Tony and I started dating.. yes, a whole FOOT. Talk about sick. I'd kinda like to get rid of at least 8 of those.

After looking at everything I've eaten today:

Breakfast: 1/2 C 1% Cottage Cheese and 1/2 C Crushed Pineapple

Lunch: Cafe Steamers General Tso's Spicy Chicken and 2 Clementines

Dinner: 4 oz Mahi Mahi, 1 C Greenbeans and 1/2 C Carrots

Dessert: 1 Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich

I haven't even hit 900 Calories!! Not to mention, according to my Calculator, I've only used 17 of my 29 available points! I'm afraid my body's going to go into starvation mode and not lose anything at all... Any ideas???

OK, hear the daughter calling me... guess I better go be Mommy :)
